To load songs

The music file cannot be loaded to MIXTRAX.

Music Analysis

Can you suspend an analysis in the middle of the process?

  • You can suspend a music analysis in the middle of the process by clicking at the bottom of the screen.

    Even if you suspend an analysis, the data that had already been analyzed will not be deleted.

How long does it take to run an analysis?

  • You can confirm the estimated time required to complete an analysis by clicking at the bottom of the screen.

A song displaying 0 for BPM is displayed.

  • Songs that cannot be analyzed or songs yet to be analyzed will display 0 for BPM.

Can I change or register BPM for songs that have been analyzed?

  • You can edit the songs from the [Properties] screen.

Playlist

What is a [Recommend] Playlist?

  • They are recommended Playlists that MIXTRAX automatically creates from the user’s music library. Up to five Playlists are created.

File Format

Which file formats for songs are compatible with MIXTRAX?

How do you convert song file formats (e.g., from AAC to MP3)?

  • You cannot convert song file formats on MIXTRAX.

Artwork

Can you register Artworks?

  • Select the song for which you wish to register an Artwork in the Song List, and right-click.

    You can select an Artwork you wish to register by clicking the [Edit] tab on the [Properties] screen.

Can you display Artworks?

  • Select the song for which you wish to register an Artwork in the Song List, and right-click.

    You can select an Artwork you wish to register by clicking the [Edit] tab on the [Properties] screen.

Mix Style

What is Mix Style?

  • Mix Style is a Nonstop Mix playback method.

What happens if you make changes to the preset Mix Style settings?

  • If you make changes to the Mix Style settings, the playback time per song and the effects during the mixing of songs will change.

What does [Track Time] indicate in the Mix Style settings?

  • It is the average playback time per song in a Nonstop Mix.

    The playback of a song will be longer if [Track Time] is long, and shorter if short.

What is the difference between [Active] and [Simple] for [Effect] in the Mix Style settings?

  • The songs will switch from one to another using different effects: vibrant when [Effect] is [Active], and relatively toned down for [Simple].

What is the difference between [Automatic] and [Manual] for [Play Sequence] in the Mix Style settings?

  • MIXTRAX will automatically arrange a recommended playback order with [Automatic].

    The user can arrange the playback order just like a regular Playlist with [Manual].

Can you change the [Track Time] and [Effect] in the Mix Style settings?

  • You can arrange Mix Style according to your preference or scene by detailed settings of [Track Time] (playback range) and [Effect] (effect).

Dance

What is a [Dance] Playlist?

  • This Playlist is to use for Battle / DJ MIX for STEEZ AUDIO. When music is imported into MIXTRAX, the songs are automacially sorted to those suitable for dancing. You can also edit as you like.

What is a Rhythm Sequence?

  • This is data to be used for Rhythm Machine for STEEZ AUDIO. You can freely set rythm patterns and tempo using up to a maximum of 4 favorite songs.

What is the sound file format that is allocated to each channel in Rhythm Sequence?

  • Compatible with WAV file which contains linear PCM.

Are there restrictions on the sound sources that can be allocated to each channel in Rhythm Sequence?

  • The playback time must be 6 second or less, and the file format must be WAV.

Can you create your own sound sources that can be allocated to each channel in Rhythm Sequence?

  • Yes.

What effects are achieved if you make changes to the BPM in the Rhythm Sequence?

  • When the BPM is raised, the tempo becomes faster and when lowered, the tempo becomes slower. The set BPM will be the initial setup value for Rhythm Machine in STEEZ AUDIO.

How come a song does not belong to any Dance Genre?

  • The sorting of the dance genre is according to our own algorhythm and may differ from your preference. In such cases, please add your favorite songs to the Dance Playlist.

Transfer songs to connected device

What happens when I try to transfer a playlist that is larger than the capacity for the device?

  • It will select songs at random from the specified Playlist and transfer them.

Can music files be transferred to iPod?

  • Music files from MIXTRAX cannot be transferred to iPod.

Cannot transfer iTunes playlist to a device.

  • Duplicate iTunes playlist in the [iTunes Playlist] folder for MIXTRAX and register in [My Playlist] folder and the songs can now be transferred to a device.

There are songs that cannot be transferred.

  • Songs where the music files cannot be found (dead songs) will not be transferred to the device.

  • Even if it is analyzed, if the internal process for MIXTRAX is not completed, the song may not be transferred to the device. Wait and try transferring again later.

STEEZ PORTABLE operations

It will not switch to NONSTOP MIX/TEMPO SEARCH/PLAYLIST/TITLE LIST even if you touch the [MODE] area.

  • Is it set to SLIDE EFFECTOR mode?

    If [SLIDE EFFECTOR] is displayed on the top left of the display, it is still in SLIDE EFFECTOR mode. End the SLIDE EFFECTOR mode to switch to NONSTOP MIX/TEMPO SEARCH/PLAYLIST/TITLE LIST mode.

Mix Creator

What is a Mix Creator?

  • An application that allows you to edit tracks however you like and create your own unique MixData.

How do I playback MixData that I have created?

  • When you create MixData a MixData playlist will be created under My Playlist.

    Select that playlist and then click the name of the MixData you want to listen to and playback will begin.

How can I listen to all the tracks in the MixData I created?

  • Playback using Unmixed and not NonStopMix.

Can I use STEEZ Portable or STEEZ Audio to listen to the MixData I have created?

  • You can transfer them in the same way as normal tracks.

What does changing the playback range allow me to do?

  • Changes the part of the track that will be played back during MixData.

What does changing the Mix Pattern and Mix Pattern Details allow me to do?

  • Changing the Mix Pattern allows changes to the category of effects that can be used, which in turn changes the types of effect that you can select under Mix Pattern Details.

    Changing the Mix Pattern Details will change the effect.

What does changing the Mix Effect Time allow me to do?

  • Allows changes to the length of time for which the effect will be applied.

Can the MixData I have created be saved as an MP3 file, or others?

  • Press the SAVE button in the Mix Creator and you can choose to export as an MP3 or a WAV file.

Cannot register tracks to Mix Creator.

  • Tracks should be registered from MIXTRAX.

  • Songs with a playback time of over 13 minutes cannot be registered.

Cannot move the Mix Creator window.

  • Move by dragging the area.

Cannot move the track from left to right.

  • Move the track sideways by dragging the area.

Cannot move the tracks to a desired location.

  • Cannot position more than 3 tracks to be simultaneously played back.Adjust the playback range of each song, and position the songs so that they do not overlap.

  • In Mix Effect, cannot position more than 2 tracks to be simultaneously played back.Adjust the playback range and Mix Effect of each song, and position the songs so that they do not overlap.

How can I playback the MixData I have created on music applications such as iTunes?

  • Export the MixData as an MP3 or WAV file and then read it using the music application.

How can I burn the MixData I have created to a CD?

  • There is no CD burning function.

Can DJ play be enjoyed with MIXTRAX?

  • MIXTRAX does not have DJ play function.
